Meet Bryan & April – Owners of Mutt & Tumble Dog Training

Hi! We’re Bryan and April, proud San Francisco natives and the passionate owners of Mutt & Tumble Dog Training.

🐾 Our Mission

This mission was born out of heartbreak.

​

I (April)once had a dog I loved deeply — a dog with behavioral issues that couldn’t be solved with love alone. As much as I wanted to, I couldn’t love the struggle out of him — just as you can’t love a criminal out of committing crimes. His behavior wasn’t hi s fault; it was shaped by the environment and people before me. I was determined to help him heal, but despite all my efforts, I ultimately had to make the devastating decision to euthanize him.

It broke me.

​

I was angry at myself. Angry at the humans who failed him. But in that pain, I reached a crossroads: I could carry the weight of regret for the rest of my life — or I could rise above it and turn that pain into purpose.

I chose purpose.

​

My mission now is clear: to help as many dogs and owners as possible restore their bond through structure, communication, and balanced training — and to prevent dogs from being rehomed, surrendered, or euthanized due to misunderstood behavior.

Every dog deserves a chance.
Every owner deserves the tools to lead.
And no one should have to say goodbye because they didn’t have support.

This is why I do what I do — so no dog’s story ends the way his did.
